From 19/11 until 2/12 the general coordinator for MPS, Arthij van der Veer, has visited Costa Rica / Guatemala and Honduras. MPS already has over 50 participants in this region for MPS ABC. During the trip the coordinator has visited several MPS participants in the countries as mentioned above and meetings have taken place with potential new members.

During 2009 MPS will work hard to improve the service on local level for MPS participants. Currently we are looking into the possibilities to work with a regional coordinator for Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua. In our newsletter for Latin America we will keep you updated on the progress.

MPS-ECAS has qualified a local auditor to perform audits for MPS ABC, MPS-GAP and MPS-SQ. With this step we assure the promise that the audits will be performed in the most efficient way possible.
