Organisation
MPS is an organisation ahead and through growers. This appears from some deliberative bodies (Board of directors, advisory councils and Council of Interested Parties). The following advisory councils contain growers and/or branche-organisations that represent participants:

Board of Directors
Watching, checking, determine policy, make decisions about:
  • progress and reporting MPS-participating, -organisation and -execution;
  • MPS’ certificates and services;
  • structural changes or investments in staff, machines, policy, etc.;
  • quarterly- en annual returns, inclusively the interpretation for checking the policy.

Advisory Council
The Board of Directors of MPS is advised by an advisory council: the MPS Advisory Council. This Council takes care for a better support of the stakeholders (auctions, traders and growers) and gives MPS advice about the leading policy. The advisory boards’ attention is drawn to environment, social, quality, market and production. The MPS Advisory Council watches the support in MPS in the floriculture sector and the stakeholders, contributes vision and concerns of stakeholders, checks the policy plans with the practice and gives the board and management some advice.

The composition of the advisory council and the consultation frequency has been laid down in the quality system of MPS. For more information about this, please contact MPS.

Council of Interested Parties
The Council of Interested Parties has been installed by the certification organization MPS as an advisory body for the Board of MPS, so that all interested parties in the MPS certification schemes, which come under the accreditation of the Council for Accreditation, will have the opportunity to have a say in the development of MPS’ policy and demands of the content and the function of the MPS schemes as well as the function of MPS as certification organization.
