How do I implement MPS-Quality?
In order to participate in the MPS-Quality scheme, you will begin by producing descriptions of a number of business processes such as purchasing, harvesting, sorting and packaging, sales, dealing with complaints, customer satisfaction and shelf life tests. These processes are documented in a handbook. Once you have described the business processes, you test them against the MPS-Quality requirements. After this, you must adhere to the descriptions for at least three months. During that period, you will be testing your descriptions in practice and be making improvements where necessary. Once you are satisfied with your system, you should apply for an audit from a certification body. If everything is satisfactory you will be certified, making you an accredited MPS-Quality supplier.
